Position: Marketing - Lead Generation

As a Lead Generation Sales Executive, you will be responsible for working as part of the sales team, to make contact with the target market and initiate conversations, with the aim to building relationships, book face to face meetings and create tendering opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility is to generate leads for the Sales Team which provide tendering opportunities
  • Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the company and identify appropriate clients within the target market.
  • Promoting services and successes to potential clients
  • Developing an understanding of the client’s long term and short term needs
  • Continually establishing client relationships, both existing and new
  • Build and cultivate client relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through to tenders
  • Providing clients with relevant information in response to enquiries about products and services.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.
  • Manage data for new and potential clients in a spreadsheet / database ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
  • Prepare and produce sales pipeline report for the monthly sales meeting Attend monthly sales meeting with the team to discuss report produced and next month’s activities.

Ideal Skills and Experience Required

  • Good written and oral communication skills across a variety of levels & disciplines
  • Computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Office products
  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of developing tasks from initial request to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Ability to identify priorities and orchestrate multiple activities
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and be an excellent team player
  • Knowledge of the cleanroom and laboratory construction industry (preferred but not a must)
  • Have excellent customer rapport building skills You will be an enthusiastic and consultative person

Position: Sales Estimator / Design, Estimator

An exciting opportunity for a Sales Estimator to support the Sales Team in providing a focus on sales, customer relations and developing competitive solutions to project requirements across several industries. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.
  • Carry out site surveys and engaging with the client / team in meeting (may require hotel stop over depending on location - UK only)
  • Abstract information into subcontract and material packages.
  • Select subcontract and material suppliers.
  • Organise copy of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties.
  • Ensure tendering processes are fully implemented.
  • Answering queries from subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Liaise with Client/Design Team during tender process and arrange meeting if required.
  • Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering, discussing with appropriate bid team members.
  • Appraise sub-contractor/supplier quotations.
  • Generate quotations in line with company template / style to the level of detail required to support the tender.
  • Cost Planning and Population with sub-contractors, suppliers or historical costings.
  • Price up Prelims, in conjunction with Sales Team Attend tender interviews, post tender negotiations with Client and carry out tender presentations.
  • Highlight any areas of concern / risk in cost proposal.
  • Complete Form of Tender and tender letter with any qualifications Complete Contract Sum Analysis/Schedule if necessary.
  • Enter final tender information in tender log and ensure maintained.
  • Prepare information packages for handover to construction team, if successful.
  • Attend handover meeting and brief team on tender bid.
  • Continually review the estimating process suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Ensure supply chain is regularly refreshed in line with procurement / construction activities to meet the company’s needs.
  • Develop client / specifier relationships to enhance opportunities to tender, negotiate and enhance tender margins.
  • Attend monthly sales meeting with the team to discuss months’ sales activities, forecasts and future activities Develop Supply Chain

Ideal Skills and Experience Required

  • Educated in Building Service Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in the either Building Services or Construction Sector (both would be ideal)
  • Experience of estimating full project costs including services & products from subcontractors
  • Holder of a full and valid UK Driving License
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously Knowledge of ISO Quality and Environmental Regulations (preferred but not a must)
  • Knowledge of the current health and safety standards/legislation
  • Good written and oral communication skills across a variety of levels & disciplines
  • Computer literate and conversant with Microsoft Office products
  • Highly motivated self-starter capable of developing tasks from initial request to a satisfactory conclusion

Position: Design Manager / Engineer

CDC require a new design manager / engineer Tlead, manage, coordinate and drive the design process through all stages from outline scope of works or design brief through tConstruction Information and support tthe end of the project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Produce All CDC required design information

 

  • Liaise with the Sales and Marketing Director, Estimator / Business Development Manager, Contracts Director/Project Manager and Client to understand the basis of the cost plan and ensure that all requirements are identified and understood Develop CDC’s Proposals in conjunction with the Sales team Implement and action RFIs, TQs and control 'Design Development' by Client and others Monitor and Control Information Flows.
  • Check and approve all CDC design information prior tissue.
  • Ensure that all Information is approved and issued in accordance with Information Release Schedule, Deliverable and Project Programme

 

Role Requirements

  • Constructively contribute in all design matters including Sales requirements and building technology issues.
  • Ensure that all Contract, Planning, Building Control, Notices and the like are satisfied, obtained, recorded and maintained for the project.
  • Develop and manage information production plans based on logical design stages that:
  • Actively manages integration and interfaces Obtains agreement at key decision points Controls design development Reduces costs Ensures ‘Buildability’ including practical tolerances.
  • Delivers certainty and provides precise detail rather than leave it for others resolve
  • Ensures proper Quality Assurance and other information checks prior issuing others Carry out site surveys Attendance at design meetings and others
  • Air Conditioning calculations and plant specifications including Psychometric calculations.
  • Traditional load calculations together with the application of industry software such as Hevacomp.
  • Pipe sizing including Domestic, Gas, Heating and Chilled Water.
  • Sizing of all Air Conditioning components, duct sizing and plant specification / selection Co-ordinate all design at all stages of the works.
  • Production of design information using CAD software (AutoCAD) including schematics, Architectural, HVAC, electrical and others (REVIT Skills ideally but not essential) Checking design work as it progress and implementing amendments prior internal reviews before preliminary issue the Client and amendment / revisions and approval processes before issuing for Approval / Construction’.

Competencies

  • Customer focused Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Able chair meetings and negotiate effectively and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills plus an ability manage directly reporting staff.
  • Has a high level of computer literacy, understands current information technology / systems.

Interface Co-operation & Communication

In addition cooperating and communicating with internal CDC personnel, the role requires managing successful relationships with external personnel and teams including the Client and their representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, external authorities and the public.

Qualifications and Key Skills that will be required or need to be developed:

Experience in designing Cleanrooms (and CL3 Containment Laboratories - preferred but not a must) Knowledge of ISQuality and Environmental Regulations (preferred but not a must) Understanding Pharmaceutical GMP Orange Guide requirements (preferred but not a must) Sound technical / engineering knowledge supported by HNC, H Tech or equivalent qualification Understanding of Cleanroom Architectural works including floors, ceilings, doorsets, visions panels and transfer hatches etc. Commercially aware, capable of working on their own initiative and tprioritise workload and tachieve deadlines.
